Here at the beginning of the Twenty-First Century, in an interesting parallel to America at the end of the Nineteenth Century, our society is facing many problems relating to the battle over free thought, the right to chose our own destinies, and the stratification of wealth within the Republic.

There is only one element that opposes the ideals of the Declaration of Independence;

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." ,

And it is the element of Conservative Thought that continuously drags upon the "moving forward" of Humanity, and seeks a return to a more controlled, "safer", and unthinking way of Life.

This is the truth behind the Cultural War that they are waging on America!

Never fear... there are three things that one can do to defeat them;

1. Educate yourself on the issues, and on the direct, and future, implications that these changes may hold in store for our society,

2. Use your new knowledge within the polls... vote against any attempts to rollback Humanity's advances on social issues, and

3. Stand your ground. Whether it is on a street corner, in a letter, online, or in the very Institutions of American government, speak your educated mind, and show your desire for true Freedom. There is no other way.

All of this reminds me of a part of a song by the Moody Blues;

"Cold Hearted Ogre that rules the Night,

Removes the Colors from our Sight,

Red is gray, and yellow white,

But we decide which is right,

And which is an Illusion."

Awake, and open your eyes. Behold! The Dream is alive.
