A Journey to Sanity-
In August 2001, I began the Voyage to Womanhood called Transition.
January 2004, I started another Journey, one to Wholeness.
You see, Transitioning can do many things for you: end the guilt and pain that most of us carry until we make the decision that Transition is the only thing we can do to have a normal and happy life. Holds true in some cases, but there is a lot of baggage that gets built up over the years we struggled to be able to make that decision.
That baggage consists of many different forms of our pain and shame from the Past. It may even go as far as to show as addictions to drugs or alcohol, even such things as food or sex. We may find that we cannot, even with the greatest of willpower, resist these compulsions for any great length of time.
The harder life gets, especially if we are in the grip of these compulsions, the stronger their hold over us grows, and the worse it gets as far as our "using" goes. We can become powerless before these addictions. We cannot win this battle alone.
And one day, if from the addictions themselves, or from an outside agency associated with these compulsions, we will be destroyed.
I know this now. Was doing it myself, and life became more and more unmanageable. No, I wasn't a junkie or a drunk, but it was slowly flowing in that direction... was definitely and inevitably taking me step-by-step into the Abyss.
My Transition would be all for naught if things reached their logical conclusion.
What it came down to was a very weak, or truly non-existent connection, with the Goddess.
I had not wholly given myself to Her. I had also forgotten my vows to Her.
I was powerless when trying to eliminate the build-up of baggage from the preceding years. Only one Power could change that, and that Power was the Lady's.
I had to surrender all to Her. She is reworking my life. This lady now belongs to Her. I am one of Arianrhod's daughters.
Love, Devotion, Surrender... that is all She asks.
(I say the Lady, but that is because I see the One as Her. Some see Him, or God, but all that I can see is the Lady Arianrhod.)
In the areas below, I will be putting together brief overviews of the different aspects of this Path, some experiences, as they occur to me, and links to many places in which to find out more.
