So you're wondering if you might be "Trans"?

(Please keep in mind dear Traveler that I am a Trans woman, and that colours most of my thoughts and presentations. The basic science holds true for both MTF and FTM folks. It is not meant as an editorial comment.)

Here the inquiring soul will find many words and thoughts about the Path that Fate has forced us to walk.

No... It won't be easy, and there is alot of poop along the way, but one must grow where they are planted.

We 'are' dearies. Transgenderism is real, and therefore, so are our lives.

Where does one start? How does one explain a 'different' aspect to oneself?

Are you a weirdo?

No sweetie, you are something entirely different... Maybe a quirk of biology, maybe it is in the Spirit, (who can really say?), but you are REAL!!!

The fact that you are here shows that you are questing. You are seeking an answer.

This lady does not have all the answers, (hell! I don't even know all of the questions!), but here at the Treehouse, we will do our darnedest to help you in any way that we can.

That is our promise to you.

So... what does it all mean?

All that can be said is that there seems to be a hormonal imbalance in the mother while we are invitro. (European studies) This makes alterations in the original blueprint that turn us into something different... I didn't say bad, or horrible, just a little different. But it isn't our fault. (Heck, it's no one's fault!)

So you like dressing in girl's clothes... or maybe you just keep looking at women as they walk by, and you're not lusting for them, you are wanting to BE one them!

You are realizing your inner nature... what you really are.

No shame dearie... you are not alone in this. There are many other people that go through the same thoughts and feelings that are with you now. Many people!

And we are very special... never doubt that one.

You have just entered a very new World.

The Many Flavors of being Trans-

At the rather severe risk of getting my tail feathers bruised by folks who take sides on this issue, I will now go through the 'Labels' of being Trans. (Personally, I prefer 'Flavors', but some see that as a Baskin-Robbins ad!)

To many people, the experience of 'Dressing' defines a TG.

IT DOES NOT!

A 'TG' can have only the thoughts and feelings of a woman, but may never dress. Rare, but it happens. I don't know of a label for this one.

Alright...

There is only one difference between CDs, TVs, and TSs... and that is a difference of degree/circumstances. All are under the Trans label. (I omit Drag Queens for one reason only, they are making a parody of women. They are also Gay... different world there. Many have been dear friends.)

To us, any person who feels a pull to the Feminine side is our sister.

To understand that wonderful, magical, hypnotic allure of being one of the Fairer Sex, to know where you truly see yourself, if only for a night here and there, is the ticket for admittance to a fantastic Sorority. You are one of the TGs, and dearies, we are not sick people!

We see both sides of that silly polar poop that 'normal' society adheres to. We cover the spectrum, and all of Life is about the spectrum.

According to evolutionary theory, any creature so specialized that it can only be one thing, and one thing only, shall one day vanish from the face of this wonderful planet.

You are able to be many people, gifted as you are by this thing we call Trans.

Yes I know, "this is a curse", "it makes you strange"... blah, blah, blah.

Take a look at a club-wielding right wing fundie... now that is one strange puppy! LOL

Think about how you feel whilst en femme... entire sectors of your being come into action. And you then truly feel connected, whole. Real.

I refer to this as being/becoming a Transformer!

Your world, even if it seems like so much caca at times, is so much richer than those who exist only at the poles.
